Hi, I have purchased one of these traps but I find the 40mm chrome waste pipe is really tight, I scraped some of the chrome finish off but still too tight, the seal doesn't have enough room ? What outlet pipe do i need ?

We have had to email over to the manufacturer for this as we have very little info on the p traps. The outlet pipe should be UK standard chrome or copper 42mm outside diameter. Not sure exactly what pipe you have has as you state 40mm, which isn't a standard chrome/copper pipe size.
